Today, I enjoy working with a wide range of clients, applying my training in Swedish/Relaxation, Myofascial, Neuromuscular, Sports and other therapies to relieve pain, enhance my clients' athletic activities, and help the mind and body de-stress from today's busy lifestyles. It's an honor to help my clients meet their therapy goals!
Born in Idaho, my family moved to Michigan when I was 3 years old, and I've lived in the Dexter area ever since. I credit my large family with my love of people, and my childhood upbringing, living on 10 acres, with my love of nature.
I currently divide my professional time between massage therapy and a rewarding position with The Hunger Site Network. This family of Web sites allows Internet users to raise money for charity causes through simple online activities.
Before starting my professional careers, I graduated from Dexter High School and earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree in English and American Language and Literature, with a minor in Fine Arts, from Eastern Michigan University. I was a member of the EMU Honors Program, was active in several campus organizations, and was the editor-in-chief of Cellar Roots, EMU's literary and arts journal. While at EMU I met Richard Truxall, a fellow English-major, also from a large family. We've been happily married since 1992 and enjoy living in the historic village of Dexter with our three cats.
